Proposal Idea
Driving has become very dangerous in society. A raise in the driving age would put more mature people on the road while increasing safety for society. Most laws and every day activity for adults involves either being 18 or 21.
The safety would increase without reckless and immature teenagers behind the wheel. Another solution would be to slow speed limits.
A study on drivers shows teenagers between ages 15-17 are most dangerous on the road. They are dangerous because they are new to driving, immature and treat the car as a toy.
Create a video of a reckless teenage driver hitting someone. Then explain how the limits being lowered would explain create a safer environment.
Taking on a problem as large as this one has certain drawbacks and very important benefits. The main issue is that you will have to argue for an entire national change (practical solution), a national research/survey (research), or a national commercial/PSA (media). One of the benefits of taking on a project this large is that you will have a LOT of resources and a lot of people who can help you implement the change (think MADD).
